Reflection on Blogging-Assignment #4
I am learning a lot about blogging. At first, I thought blogging was just about making comments. Since I have been doing the different assignments, I better understand the many uses. Including different links on your blog is very beneficial to know where to quickly go to find more information on your topic of interest. I am very interested in using blogging with my own students to communicate in the target language and learn more culture directly from the natives of each country that they will be able to connect to. I would love to have students make comments on a monthly basis and have a real audience to work with.

Gloria,
ReplyDeleteI think that it's a great idea to have the kids write to us using our blogs. We could even post a question for them in Spanish or French and have them respond to that. It may even involve doing a bit of research on their part. That way all of us could be learning at the same time. I am so glad that you are taking this class with me because we can bounce ideas off of eachother and even creat new ones. Thanks for the tip!
I would love to see you use blogging to connect your kids with other students in other countries. Once school gets started and you are ready to begin a project like this, let me know. I can help you get connected.
ReplyDeleteI think that students would love to blog with someone from another country, what great instant communication.
ReplyDeleteI think your ideas are interesting. I would be interested to know if Blogger had a feature to allow students to type in a specific language, sort of like MS Word does.
ReplyDeleteUsing your blog to provide opportunities for students to speak in a target larguage is a great idea! Our students begin learning Spanish in kindergarten continue to participate in a Spanish class throughout their journey at QUEST. I think it would be a great idea to pose a weekly question that allows students to demonstrate their learning of the language. Thanks for posting!
